Suresh is the younger son of the group’s founder and currently the chairman of Parakh Agro Ind Ltd. A veteran of the flour milling industry, he has played an important role in driving world-class technology in the milling industry working alongside global partners like Buhler (Switzerland). His endurance towards constantly building teams and motivating people helped the group develop and maintain a nationwide distribution network and a continually increasing sales force. He also heads the bulk sales of the flour business and has exceptionally maintained customers, some of which have been loyally working with the group since the past 25 years.
He believes that people always have and will continue to play a pivotal role in the success of any and every industry. It’s the people within the group’s employees, distributors, suppliers, consultants etc. that in turn drive organizational growth, innovation and success. He has been instrumental in uplifting the careers of various employees by providing them broader responsibilities and higher positions which many of them never dreamt to achieve.
He studied B-Com from Maharashtra Mandal College, Pune. He is a calm soul who loves spending time with the family and would often go out of his way to help other people.
All the group’s companies have been formed and developed nationally and internationally under his able guidance. Setting up the largest edible oil refinery in Asia under one roof was a milestone dreamed and achieved by him in 1999 at Kurkumbh. The success of the edible oil business thereon attracted an opportunity for a merger with an MNC, which further escalated the brand’s nationwide growth. He was also appointed to be a part of the non-executive board at The Bank of Maharashtra under the recommendation of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He also heads the real estate business of the group under the company named Gemini Housing with a rich experience of working on several residential, commercial and industrial projects.
He believes that there is always a market for all brands, however it’s the long-term vision, sensing and surpassing expected quality, constantly updating human and technological expertise and hard work that defines a brand’s ability to grow sustainably. He aims at crossing the billion-dollar turnover milestone through all the group’s companies within the next 5 years.
He studied B-Com from The Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce, Pune. He is passionate about staying updated and exploring new opportunities in all fields he comes across.
Harshal is the elder son of Suresh Parakh and currently an executive director at Parakh Agro Ind Ltd. He drives strategic marketing for the brand Samrat, ensuring competitive pricing and consistent growth to all the products. He also leads business operations for Parakh Flexipacks and has been at the forefront in driving capacity, talent and technological enhancements in the packaging business since the past few years. His work in this field already spans widely from being recognized as the first Indian company to install an in-house plate making system by Kodak to winning multiple awards from DuPont for innovation. He has also received several acknowledgements from various leading packaging magazines in developing specialty films for packaging in various sectors like dairy and diapers. He also looks after the international market sales and aims to expand the brand’s global footprint rapidly in the coming years.
He believes that knowledge and talent need to be added and updated in the organization constantly in order to align the individuals with years of experience with individuals having new perspectives. They can together drive the required sustainable change that is needed with the constantly evolving scenarios across various industries.
Harshal graduated from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management – Pune in 2009 and completed his Masters in International Marketing from Exeter University, UK. He is passionate about the art of cooking. The chef in him enables him to understand the passion within consumers using the group’s food products.
Mayank is the younger son of Suresh Parakh and currently an executive director at Parakh Agro Ind Ltd. He works closely with the brand team and has helped transform product designs and consumer facing communications for Samrat over the past few years. His deep involvement with the information technology aspect of the organization helped start the ‘Smart Salesmen’ transformation program. This made the organization’s salesmen becomes the first team in this industry in India to use a modernized mobile-based sales force system. This changed decades old practices of penning down each sales order to real time order punching and tracking systems. He also is responsible for daily operations and marketing in the real estate business at Gemini Housing. Despite the adverse real estate market scenarios, he (instead of Mayank) and his team have managed to build a variety of projects surpassing consumer expectations that have helped in delivering fantastic results.
He believes a persistent change in organizational culture is required to adapt to the continuously changing consumer behavior. Hence, enhancing the look and facilities of the group’s workplaces and running internal social activities are keen steps taken by him aiming to transform the group’s culture into being more agile and innovative. In the recent years this change in culture has also helped attract and develop outstanding talent from outside and within the organization.
Mayank graduated from Loughborough University, United Kingdom with an Honors degree in International Business. He has also gained practical work experience as a Pricing and Competitor Analyst at Renault UK’s headquarters in London. He is passionate about music and has keen interest in interior, graphic and product designing.
Akash is the son of Prakash Parakh and currently an executive director at Parakh Foods and Oils Ltd. He looks after pricing and operational strategies in the peas flour and edible oil business. Despite being relatively new in the business he has been instrumental in setting up the oil refinery at Khopoli. He has also undertaken the responsibility in launching Vilina Edible Oils with a design face and communication strategy never before seen in this industry in the past. His systematic approach to a wide range of tasks has aided him to manage a diverse workforce within a short span of time.
He believes that various schedules and working systems, both technological and practical must be installed and sincerely implemented to sustain a growing organization. He believes in ensuring maximum yield of time, talent and capital.
Akash graduated from Exeter University, United Kingdom with an Honors degree in BSc Management with Marketing. He had the opportunity to relevantly gain work experience as a Sales Consultant at Buhler Sortex’s office in London. He is passionate about following a variety of sports and travelling to explore different cultures and ways of life.
